Utt Pataang!
The unusual
Filmmaking is privilege, not something you "deserve". It's a privilege to be able to speak with the voice of the world's most powerful and popular art form. So have something to say that lives up to the privilege.
Today I love to talk about My Brother, Friend, Godfather, Srikanth Velagaleti and his upcoming venture ‘Utt Pataang’ A wacky thriller!
He is one of the finest human being and a talented Film Makers today. Watching films endlessly is the only training he has had in his life. Srikanth has a vision and belief about film making which he diligently puts into practice. He has been in the film industry for over a half decade. He has never undergone any apprenticeship with a filmmaker; he has neither assisted any director nor done a course in filmmaking. He was an avid movie buff who graduated into movies by chance.
He was born on 3rd Dec. He is single and a perfect Sagittarian . He is also known as Abhinav. His greatest strength lies in his taut script narration. He is courageous and original. We always talk about Cinema, when I called Abhi last night, whilst having conversation, there raised discussion about ‘Utt Pataang’, he said that “I have this whole picture of the film in my head and then I put it all down on ‘paper and storyboard it’, showing the movie shot by shot. I like to feel that I have thought of everything before the camera starts rolling, but I think that's probably my asset and weakness as a filmmaker."
During his early years in the telugu industry, Srikanth faced a number of local politics. He was upset with the enitre tollywood system. His work in movies came with Kaani, a shoestring project and it received a warm response. He directed TV ads for few years. In March 2007 , he made his entry into Bollywood. It was my advocacy who gave a tip of entering into Bollywood, as I always believed in him and his way of screenwriting, narration deserves merely more than telugu film industry literally.
He is a very talented man and he has many fans all over the world J. They can't wait to see his next movie ‘Utt Pataang’ and I am sure that his success won't stop here.
