Before I begin

I see my life as a series of accidents. It started rather early- with my birth on 16, January - didn't really know what sun sign is, but now am a perfect Capricorn.

I didn't really choose my parents- I was born in Hyderabad, to a beautiful couple whom I did not know before that moment - But slowly learned to love them as my father and mother. I had no hand in choosing a sister for me- but I got one- Today she is a popular VJ and Singer and I can only be Grateful that she is my sister.

I must thank my parents for bearing with an eccentric son like me. I must thank my family and friends, who always believed in me, though after raising an eyebrow each when I told them that I want to be a Film maker. For years I have worried them with my strange and sudden whims, but they have gladly faced it all.

The school I went to, the courses I chose in higher grades and in college was a result of either convenience or utter confusion- am a computer graduate. You'll find engineers and doctors in my family, except me. Some of my relations feel that am the only black sheep in my family, but I strongly feel one fine day, Black Sweaters would be the trend. But through it all I kept growing, Physically, intellectually and emotionally. I'm a moral follower of I Me Myself. I'm a Spiritual Bhogi, enjoys my future's yesterday.

July 6, 2002 was the day I never forget, It was the day I lost a great person, Empire builder, Equity guru, my role model Sir Dhirubhai Ambani, the first Indian who truly understand the term ‘Economies of scale'. He came to Mumbai in 1959 with Rupees 500, built Rupees 75,000 crore empire. This is the only statement which gives me energy every day. I wish I could have met my GURU.

Cinema was a wonderful accident that happened rather early to me. I was 19 years old, had joined my Brother Director Abhinav Velagaleti(Srikanth) assisted him for the film KAANI, which was released in November 2004, while I was pursuing my college-

Soon Cinema became the driving force and the focus of my life. After KAANI I got a huge gap of 16 months. Later I worked for two short films on Human Psychology and AIDS.

In the mid of 2006 I got a chance Through my bro line a friend Balu(Musician) to associate a tamil film maker Chithirai Selvan for the film Agra, I went Chennai to work as an Associate Director but accidentally I got selected as one of the hero in the film which had many problems with the Production. In 2007 November film got released in chennai and entire Tamil Nadu with 40 prints. I also worked with a cool and creative Director Mr. Rabi Kisku for an English Movie called ‘Silicon Jungle'. Now he is one of my best Buddy

Almost everything that happened in my life was an accident- The most beautiful of these must be the way I met my Spouse - at Chembur CCD. If I wasn't in Mumbai that day and if a billion other things did not conspire that evening- we would never have met, never known each other. I should thank her for ever in all means.

Most everything was an accident, except one. I knew very early on, when Don was Big'B' not SRK, when Ganguly was captain not Dhoni- that I am going to make films and part of film industry. By the time I was 14 or 15, I did not know how, but I was sure that one day I would direct films. The film bug caught me early on, my father is a film buff and I love watching cinema with him.

Started with Hindi films- all Dilip Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Raj Kumar, Raj Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan to Abhishek Bachchan and plenty Hollywood films- we were passionate about watching films. Then Star Movies and HBO got the better of Hindi films.

The very first script I put on paper in the year 2000. The plot is (Once in college X and Y start a letter based friendship that blossoms into love... ) But unfortunately in May 2002 a Hindi Film starring Hrithik, Saif and Esha got released. Believe it or not my story and the Film almost 80% got equal contender. Then I started realizing that I am going to make films.

On January 19, 2007, I decided to direct feature films where I continued writing Scripts-I enjoyed every moment in writing the Scripts and Screenplay, I love acting, it is the best job in the world, totally stress free. I did a shoestring project as one of the lead in a bilingual project in Chennai. I shared the Screen with Veteran Actor Nazer.

- but I kept writing my scripts and looking for funding. I have made many Corporate Ad-films . I always dreamt about working in Bollywood with Ramu, Nagesh Kukunoor, Aamir khan, Shahid Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah Etc. I want to direct only one feature film in telugu, and gift the entire Andhrapradesh an incredible hit, where audience should remember my film at least for a decade like ‘S H I V A'.
